My Generation: Self-Discipline

My generation is like a flower, growing up in a tempting and complex environment. No matter how many seasons I have experienced, I keep myself disciplined to coexist with the world and feel the things I own. Like a flower, bloomed and faded in its lifetime, but happiness is still there and enthusiasm has not reduced. How brave, free, colorful, and always ready to share joy and love!

The source of a brilliant generation is the inner strength of oneself. Being determined and having the self discipline are the keys to change life and adjust oneself to the good. Growing up in Taiwan, known historically as Formosa (the beautiful island), it is reasonable to have an extraordinary method of self-training. It’s the self-education that I taught myself when I was young. The desire to contribute myself has been implemented since my early years and remained the same till now. I find happiness within and enjoy adversity and prosperity.

Thank you, Kate, for the prompt. I thought we are not exhibiting the last 3 works from cycle 5 together, so I've decided to work on a larger dimension, which is 132H x 91W (cm) each. I apologize for any inconveniences this may cause.

Materials: recycled fabrics, hand-dyed fabrics, Romanian thread

Techniques: 100% hand stitched (pieced, appliquéd, quilted)
