The Greek Island of Mykonos is a jewel in the Mediterranean. Bright splashes of fuchsia Bougainvillea tumble down from the white washed buildings, while the azure sea laps at the shore. All shades of blue doors and window shutters plus steep steps and narrow paved alleyways complete the beautiful scene.

I have tried to capture the magical feel of this island, loved by hordes of tourists each year while the evil eye of myth oversees it all.

Materials: cotton, textile ink, batting, various threads

Techniques: hand painted, machine pieced, machine quilted
