Sea Scape

I beach dyed a number of fabric pieces without knowing how the fabric would look at the end of the process. The challenge was then using the fabric in ways that highlighted the images the dyeing had produced. Sea Scape is the result of seeing a wondrous world of sea and sky.

Materials: commercial cotton and artist’s dyed cotton fabric, batting, threads, textile ink

Techniques: hand dyed, hand printed, machine pieced and quilted
