Ghost Nets

The silent killers of many marine species are the ghost nets abandoned by fishing boats. As they drift with the ocean currents they entangle all in their way, leading to a slow, painful death. We need to take responsibility to make our oceans a cleaner, safer environment for all creatures.

Materials- cotton, wadding, synthetics, thread, paint, fusible web

Techniques- hand painting, machine applique, machine quilting
