Revenant

Revenant means one that has returned from the dead.....I'd like to eliminate the scary connotation of the word- my feeling here is that past generations are with us forever. I tried to give the feeling of building on the past, evolving yet still respecting our foundations.

This was a fun project, it's silk painted in several layers using resist.

It began with a light color wash......

then, using freezer paper as a guide, I began applying the resist.
